Trying to get the word out!

Some of you may already know that I have been trying for a long time to share my filter research and video astronomy experiences with as many people as I can.  I believe that the information that I've assembled is useful to everyone, and I want to share it with whomever I can.  I've tried numerous times unsuccessfully to get my material printed by the main astronomy magazines, but the response is often that my articles do not fit with the current theme of the magazine.  I finally lucked into Astronomy Technology Today magazine back in 2011.  The focus of this magazine is exactly what I have been looking for:  a technical magazine about astronomy hardware and how to use it.

As my articles are published in ATT magazine, and if fate allows others, I will be posting copies here for all to read.  I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Cheers,

Jim T.

Astronomy Magazine

I had tried a number of times to get an article published in Astronomy Magazine, but they have very particular needs with regards to topics and writing style.  At last in Jan. 2017 I had my first article picked up by the magazine (published Nov. 2017)...very exciting!

Astronomy Technology Today

I had no idea this magazine even existed until I asked on the amateur astronomy Yahoo Groups that I frequent for ideas on how to share my filter research with more people.  The staff at ATT are very friendly and helpful, and the theme of their magazine is right up my alley.  I've included my draft manuscripts below as the figures are more legible than in the ATT PDF's.
