The sky conditions were relatively poor, so I wasn't expecting too much. At this point I hadn't started organising my moon images, so I didn't know that I already had images for this phase from Sept. 17th. If I had known I probably would not have bothered setting up tonight. The resulting images are clearly of a lower quality than from a month earlier. I also had the exposure set a bit too low, resulting in dark images.

The sky conditions were relatively poor initially, but they quickly cleared up. This is the first night I tried wirelessly controlling my whole setup from in the house. The wireless link was not dependable, perhaps due to the very low temperatures (-15degC). I was quite happy with how well the ED80 did at 4X. The Televue 4X Barlow seems to work very well. |
